Yeah, wasn't too many who chimed in here, but could be because the parameters weren't specific enough (although that hasn't prevented people before). Perhaps if you gave a timeframe, let's say the 2000s?
Some other interesting thriller scores in the last few months that aren't "too big", driven by a combination of electronics and acoustics, and that are rather experimental in style include DARK PLACES (Gregory Tipi & BT) and ENTER THE DANGEROUS MIND (Reza Safinia).
Not really my cup of tea and there are painfully obvious temp nods to 28 DAYS LATER (and the tracked-in music from INK (2003) that popped up to wider acclaim in THE GREY (2012)), but check out THE SIGNAL (2014) as that seems to pretty-well fit the general modern thriller scoring aesthetic in the Western canon.
