I suppose I shouldn`t be surprised re. licensing movie maneuvers, but... RAMPAGE?!? Egad. These people can`t seem to distinguish between good ideas for a game and good ideas for film. Its not that hard.

Ok I'm confused. Wasn't Spiner's character killed rather graphically on-screen in Independence Day? How is he in the sequel?

Yeah I asked that a few weeks ago. And yeah he was killed as far as I'm concerned. But the producers are saying he wasn't really dead. roll eyes

On the Blu-ray commentary during the scene which shows Brent Spiner lying on the operating room floor after being attacked by the alien, Dean Devlin says Spiner wasn't killed.

It's not uncommon for an actor to return for a sequel but play a different role.

Bruce Spence in Mad Max 2 to Thunderdome or David Warner in Star Trek 5 to Star Trek 6 for examples.

Maybe he's playing Dr. Okin's evil twin brother, Lore, who sides with the aliens and lures them back to Earth.
