I've just been watching a few episodes of this great series on youtube.
The music by Jerry Goldsmith, Stanley Wilson and Peter Rugolo is absolutely superb !
Would love to see a multi CD set of the scores.
Was Morton Stevens ever involved with this series or am I barking up the wrong tree (as usual)

Stevens was definitely involved, and the first episode he scored was "Waxworks" (my favorite episode by Stevens that he scored, along with "Pigeons From Hell"). It was this series that Stevens began his long running working relationship with Jerry Goldsmith, in which Stevens supplied additional scoring to a miniseries (such as Pt. 2 of "Masada") or a feature film (such as "Outland").

Glad I'm not the only one around here who appreciates Stevens' "Pigeons from Hell," a score I've praised several times over the years.

More like parts 3 and 4. So not so much "additional scoring" as "taking over" in that case.

Would that be the one starring the late Brandon De Wilde ?
I think it was the first episode of this fine series I ever watched back in the early Sixties.
How could I ever forget it.

I wonder if this episode inspired Hitchcock to make "The Birds"......just a thought ?

You're not the only one for sure. Scroll ahead to 3:11:56-ish of this Goldsmith Odyssey episode:

...to hear Leigh Phillips talk broadly about his sets, vaguely about a third, and explicitly that "Pigeons from Hell" is a great score, and Stevens' music great overall.
