So on Steam these days one finds a growing plethora of new releases selling for 69.99, 71.99, 79.99, and now $81.99 Can. funds. Culprits include the new DOOM, Dishonored 2, X-Com 2, and Total War: Warhammer.

Given volume of digital sales, can it really be necessary to charge THAT BLEEPING MUCH for a quality game? Especially when more independent competitors offer their product for 1/2 to 1/3 that cost. Each new 'big name' title that makes its appearance seems to bump up that horizon, from week to week it seems.

I think it may also say something about the low esteem gamers are generally held in by big publishers. In any event, I and several folks of a like mind I know vow not to indulge such gouging. Its an easy vow to keep... $80 for a copied bit of code over Steam is a punishing amount of money.

Also, the Canadian dollar has gone down to the US Dollar compared to what it was roughly two years ago. In the end it is a person's choice whether or not they want to buy the game.

Also, what's your steam id? I want to add you.

I

Am

Warlok.

The right one should have a 'hockey mask heisting' avatar, as well as ridiculous amounts of hours in GemCraft, Payday 2, Vermintide, Orcs Must Die Unchained, and soon SMITE.

At least according to PayPal (?...) there is a Steam Summer Sale coming up mid July. I suppose, one could say, these prices are at least better than the Kylo Ren saber hilt price... (eyes roll)...
