Roger says

A two-CD set featuring a much-sought expanded heroic adventure score from the early 90s.

This has to be either Rocketeer or Kamen's Three Musketeers (though I believe Rocketeer is more sought after expansion)

That description also matches Kamen's Robin Hood.

Rocketeer or Robin Hood, I'd happily take either.

Hopefully both are in the works somewhere, but my first preference would be Rocketeer.

Will keep me going while I patiently wait for Apollo 13 & Conan smile

Either Rocketeer or Robin Hood is the definition of "instant-buy"... and either would be the release of the year so far. Am I wrong to get my hopes up?

Fingers crossed for The Rocketeer.

June 21 marked the 25th anniversary...

And June 22 was the one year anniversary since his passing. Sniffle.

The Rocke-who?

Sorry, but I really never saw/heard it.
Can anyone tell me WHY this is so great and expected score?
But don't just say "it's the best Horner's score / his magnum opus" - I heard this mostly about every Goldsmith/Williams/Jarre/Barry etc. releases - give me more details, if possible smile
Thanks!
ps Also I will thank everyone who can suggest (with youtube, please) score highlights.

If you want it in a nutshell, this score nails (what I imagine to be) the joy of flight and aviation, coupled with a fun homage to Golden Age swashbuckler scores. I wouldn't say it's Horner's deepest score or his magnum opus (though it would definitely be in my top 10 if not my top 5), but it's a hell of a lot of fun.

As far as highlights, you can't go wrong with the End Credits: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YaX9dv6D5sI

or, The Flying Circus as an example of an action cue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zixwu-4f8ZI
