Anybody out there for a definitive edition of Alex North's score for the television miniseries "Rich Man"? The music for the miniseries which switched around, and the L.P. and C.D. reissue have yet to do the score justice.
I certainly would be! Always loved that main overture. Now the LP, I have not heard it in 30 plus years, but for my then-teenaged ears it went a bit too heavily on the easy listening music, or am I misremembering?
I watched both series on DVD a couple of years ago and have been trying to get hold of the CD but it's pretty expensive.
Unfortunately the D.V.D. was taken from the syndication prints, and the final episode was heavily edited. Let's hope a version on Blu ray corrects this problem.
I just watched the DVD of the first book and it was excellent. I love the music.
I'm surprised they haven't done a 40th anniversary edition for both the DVD/blu-ray and the score, especially considering the mini-series was so successful.
I bought the UK version of the DVD - not sure if it's edited.

The version I'm referring to is the one that was released on A&E.
