He's gotten trippy in his old age. I want to see the movie.

Yeah, he's been acting very goofy in the last two decades. A long cry from the stout, Shakespearian actor he once was. I can't picture his colleagues -- like Bernard Shaw or Derek Jacobi -- constantly doing this 'spoof' persona over such a long time . Or, back in the day, Laurence Olivier, John Gielgud and Alec Guiness. Maybe Ian McKellen could do it (he's done it once or twice), but not on the same scale.

Acting is a form of whoring. Actor's go where the money is, otherwise are they actors?

Anyway, I think he's got a good sense of humor, but he needs better material than this.

Yeah, he seems very self-deprecating, but almost over-the-top.

Exactly, I seem to remember the days when he wanted to be known as a "serious" actor. Didn't he speak unkindly about Star Trek for some time after his NG stint ended? Of course always after the money stops coming in. Now he's all goofy and not taking life to seriously.

At least he's still in good shape for his age, but unfortunately he's too indentified with Star Trek and X-Men. I suspect no one will hire him for anything serious any longer. He needs to go back to the stage, do something that impresses people again.

Sometimes, you have to feel sorry for some actors.

You guys are all bonkers--this is AMAZING!!!!

And why the deuce couldn't he emote like this in the TNG days?

I think he's following the Shatner approach to post-65 longevity in showbiz. Hey, it worked for Bill, why not?

Yeah, Shatner is now a comic actor -- when he can find an acting job. Otherwise he just does TV involving remodeling his house. Olivier should have had it so good.

It would seem the assembled throng have omitted to mention just WHY Sir Pat is doing this: as a COMEDY CHARITY VENTURE to support REFUGEES FROM WAR ZONES. There's a long trad of comedy charity like this in the UK. The profits don't go to him.

Or is that too 'political' for fantasy island?

If you want to see something in a similar vein from Sir Pat, check out : https://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=ptfmAY6M6aA

But if you don't want outraged by political comedy then don't click on it or trouble poor David.
