Ten Commandments, possibly? From what Roger and Doug have mentioned about what they intend to do with it, it would certainly require saving money to purchase.

Seems a good guess (though of course, it could be something we don't know is coming). How much would you pay per Commandment?

Will buy this when it comes out. I have never actually seen the ten commandments, but I know it is a must see movie. Shame on me.

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS would be a dream come true. I hope that long promised release will take us to His Promised Land. The "golden age" of movie scores is still very much alive at Intrada.

The Ten Commandments is the last score I'm really waiting for, I hope this is it!

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS is one title that might reach beyond Golden Agers. It remains one of the few older features that has returned yearly on Network TV to this day. And TCM returned it to theaters across the country. Methinks silver agers and younger will be among purchasers.

If this is The Ten Commandments (this thing has been in the works for, what, six years now) I will be very angry because on August 23 we're releasing the score to the very rare Hungarian film, The Three Commandments, with a score by Csaba Szabo, a wonderful Hungarian composer/raconteur who was personal friends with everyone. The film was shot in Hungary with an all Asian cast speaking in French. It was a huge production shot in HungarVision and Hungarcolor, a rare two-and-a-half color process that the film's director, Gyorgy Farkas (My First Hungarian Breast, Fish on Tuesday, and his immensely popular Grandpa Ate a Stick) was very fond of. The Three Commandments was very popular the world round, and I cannot believe that Intrada, after six years, would find out we're releasing this score and try to steal our Hungarian thunder. I am disgusted.

Sounds a bit low budget if they couldn't afford to film the remaining Seven Commandments.

One can only wonder if the orchestra was a one-man-band also to save money!

I'll still buy yours, Bruce, so long as it includes Fickó Kritzerföld's tracked music from The First Hungarian Nudie Musical which was used in place of Szabo's score on the Turkish Betamax release.

Little known fact: God originally released six commandments, and everybody was happy, from Jebediah, to Jeremy and even Thor, but later on when God realized he could make them better by expanding them to ten, Thor wasn't interested.

Looking forward to this, what ever it might be.

you know originally God made 5 commandments.
he asked the Christian. "you can have this set, but you need to follow these rules".
the Christian say: "sorry, not for me. the stuff about other men's wife, you know. i will pass"
he asked the Muslim. "OK. what about you?". the Muslim say: "i will pass also, you know the bit about killing? but you can ask the Jew".
the Jew say: "how much this costs?".
God say: "well, nothing. it's free ! "
The Jew says: "Great. pack me 2 sets".
Rest is history... :-)

Testify, brother! But dont be too prideful about your own works, you know who was cast out of heaven for that.
Besides, the mystery score from Intrada will be for the little-known WW2 title "The Ten Commandos" co-composed by Rozsa, Waxman, Steiner and both Bernsteins.

It sounds like it could be THE TEN COMMANDMENTS! smile

If it is, I hope is will cross over to Silver Age fans right up to fans of current scores so it will be a big seller!

Roger says "golden agers start saving"

Why would someone assume that a score for a biblical film will automatically appeal to so-called "golden agers?
