Consumer Reports' website stated that it's fine to use household cleaners, but I've read otherwise on various sites, so I don't know which to believe! I use ArmorAll multi-purpose auto cleaner and paper shop towels/microfiber cloth for our two Volvos. I've used it on everything in the car except the leather seats and haven't had any staining or damage.
