ARRIVAL---new trailer released for the sci fi movie starring Amy Adams.

STAR WARS---Joss Whedon said he wants to direct a Star Wars movie, "So do I want to make James Bond movie? Yeah. Anne Hathaway does Catwoman again? Sure, I’m in. Do I want to make a Star Wars movie? Yeah. I was like, “I don’t want to make a Star Wars movie. Like, god dammit, why?” But I saw the trailer for ROGUE awhile ago and I was like, '“I want to do that.”' To make a Star Wars movie and not be wed to the bigger picture."
Whedon said about the Marvel and DC Comics movie rivalry, "I did not see SUICIDE SQUAD. I saw BATMAN v SUPERMAN. I think Marvel has been more successful systematically. DC has been more cinematic - their stuff looks amazing - but I feel like [Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige] is a really good storyteller. He really cares about coherence, and I feel like style never defeats substance at Marvel, but a little style creeps in."
SHACKLETON---untitled biomovie starring Tom Hardy as polar explorer Ernest Shackleton who saved his crew as their ship Endurance was crushed by ice floes in 1915 during an expedition to Antarctica. Peter Straughan (TINKER TAILOR SOLDIER SPY) will write the script.
GODZILLA 2---Michael Dougherty and Zack Shields (KRAMPUS) will write the sequel script. Lionsgate and Warner Bros. may set up a writers room for the sequel GODZILLA VS KONG.
SALVATION---CBS/Alex Kurtzman tv series underway about an MIT graduate and a tech genius who warn the Pentagon that an asteroid will strike Earth in six months.
ENEMY OF THE STATE---producer Jerry Bruckheimer and ABC are developing a tv series based on his 1998 movie that starred Will Smith and Gene Hackman. The tv series plot involves an NSA spy, accused of leaking top secret information, who teams up with a female lawyer and an FBI agent to stop a global conspiracy.
CAROL BURNETT---new untitled ABC sitcom starring Amy Poehler and Carol Burnett in which a family buys a house they normally couldn't afford with one condition---they must live with the house's owner until she dies.
MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS---Josh Gad will play Hector MacQueen. Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfieffer, Daisy Ridley, Judi Dench and Kenneth Branagh also star.
AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR---Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige confirmed the Illuminati and Doctor Strange will be in the sequel.
BLACK PANTHER---Letitia Wright will play Serita, a new character, in the movie. Speculation is that Serita might be the fourth member of the Dora Milajea.
