Yes, scores with SAXophone. I'm always on the lookout for great scores that feature excellent use of saxophone.

I'm quite fond of Toshiyuki Honda's SAX work, especially on the scores he wrote for Metropolis, Summer in AndalucĂa, and Peacock King Spirit Warrior.

John Scott's Shoot to Kill is freaking awesome, and I'm not usually in love with the sax.

I really love Barry's BODY HEAT. One of the few scores with sax I can tollerate. smile

I really love MY DEMON LOVER by David Newman.
And, although not a film score (but it sure sounds like one), you can't beat Michael Kamen's SAXOPHONE CONCERTO.

I'll state the obvious with Waxman's 'A Place in the Sun' and Vangelis' 'Blade Runner' just so they're there!

Even as someone who vehemently dislikes the sax, I simply cannot resist its smooth, melancholy sound in John Scott's RUBY - Especially that wonderfully sweet and affecting end title.

While it's not easy on the ears, the virtuoso writing/playing of the instrument in Bill Conti's GLORIA is highly admirable for its sheer dexterity. Sounds like it really put the musician through his/her paces!

And sax. wink

I like sax when it's incorporated into the fabric of the music more than as an isolated instrument in the orchestration.

I'm a big fan of the saxophone segments in Who Framed Roger Rabbit? and The Russia House. Silvestri and Goldsmith had career highlights featuring sax in both those scores.

There is awesome music by ERIC DEMARSAN from film ROBERTE (1979) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0256343/?ref_=nm_flmg_com_53)

You can find also one track on Demarsan compilation from Universal Music France.

And what great sax solo is in this tune by sax master Tom Scott
