I am going to add: Rocky or Rocky 2, Last of the Mohicans by Jones, Rudy for Goldsmith and since I saw the movie recently October Sky by Isham. A re-release would be nice. But I know these are not everyone's grails. I would love to see a legit Godfather Trilogy released.

Many of these scores have been very well released... maybe not "complete", but I certainly don't think albums like SCHINDLER's LIST or LAST SAMURAI are particularly lacking and I don't see how these can be considered "unreleased"? In fact, I don't think there is any substantial music missing from SCHINDLER'S LIST and the album is very well put together.

They may all be re-released again and expanded and whatever, but I wonder how one can consider these "unreleased" or even "Holy Grails"... then again, I remember the days when even releasing scores like BACK TO THE FUTURE or a comprehensive GREMLINS was all but impossible.

I used to think Isham's gorgeous FLY AWAY HOME was a foregone conclusion but the further we get from it (it's been 20 years!) the more distant that prospect appears. Hopefully someday, as it's arguably his best score. Certainly one of them.

I still hold out hope for SPARTAN, even though that would take a miracle, i.e., me winning the lottery and doing it my damn self.

T2 would be nice - I know they tried to find the masters when Silva reissued the score but were only able to locate the OST tracks.

I love these threads. In 2017 we know that we'll see releases for:

Star Trek Voyager
Star Trek Deep Space Nine

MV has also commenting on upcoming DC Animated releases too.

MV also mentioned he had lunch with John Du Prez early last year as I posted about a TMNT small LP release. (Whether or not TMNT scores will be out in 2017 - who knows? I know that Ooze was likely easier to access per digital recordings, and that it might take some more work to get the original score done).

As I think more about my Holy Grail - The Real Ghostbusters - when the time life set came out the authors of that set said that they tried to find the recordings for the soundtrack but could not. Hence its part of the reason that they included so many music and effects tracks for the release. Unless something is discovered. Editing a music effects track down per the Star Trek animated series for RGB might be much more daunting to the volume of music. Star Trek TAS for the 50th set was probably a truly laborious feat!

If anything can be found for the 1992 X-men animated series I would also be thrilled. Really curious if Kamen's original score had any nods to that famous theme song.

And well, if Intrada stumbles onto Shirley Walker's Fluppy Dogs? I won't have words.

Ducktales would be wonderful too - Jones and Newman smile

John Barry - Howard the Duck complete with Levay's work and all the Dolby's Cube songs.

Stick and Looker from Barry DeVorzon; for Stick, the unreleased work from Snuff Garrett would be nice, especially since the original opening song has never been released.

since I saw the movie recently October Sky by Isham.

I can get behind that and Fly Away Home. Perhaps Isham's two greatest scores, and two of the best of the 90s. Powerful and moving, and not derivative.
