Great news - I picked up the blu ray in 2015 and really enjoyed both the film and score so I may indeed pick this up on CD

Latest news is that the LP will be released this September. Hopefully there will be a CD soon as well. I hope so. I've been looking forward to this release for ages...heck, since 1982! Reportedly, Madman was screened as early as October 1981 ... and as late as February 1983 (according to IMDB). Never saw it. Had to look up its credits online since the composer's name - Stephen Horelick - hasn't yet been mentioned by anybody in this thread. This is a synthesizer soundtrack, eh?

Why, Zardoz...here?!?! ;-) Yes, early analog non-MIDI synths here - as far as slasher Friday the 13th, ur...homage, goes it's a bit above par. We always joke at the Goblini manor "this is the one with the ugliest cast, right?" Except a pseudonymous Gaylen Ross of Dawn of the Dead fame. The blu ray looks terrific but I cant help, in watching the extras, the hype, legend & cult following of the film might be a bit manufactured by the filmmakers. Yea or nay, guys? I'll have to revisit this, it's a decent flick, has some good spooky atmosphere & cinematography & didn't go overboard on gore - good or bad depending which spike of the fence you fall on.... Peace, Sean
