I was searching the forum to see if there were any replacement forums for the defunct IMDb boards and found this thread. The IMDb boards ended seven years ago today.
It looks as though the creators of these boatds aped the IMDb's look. Some topics are quite active, but most of the forums for older individual films and TV shows are often quiet.
Does anyone here post at these replacement forums?

I had a brief look, and they looked completely inane, the both of them (and that was when I could understand the grammar). Hopefully, there exists more sophisticated film messageboards out there. Is there one for proper cineastes, I wonder?

It looks as though both sites moved IMDb's message board archive over to their respective site, and in the seven years since have more or less continued.
On the old IMDb boards, there was someone whose only thread topic was "Did Jack Nicholson Warn Him?" It was on seemingly every dead actor's board. Insane.
