15.)V The Final Battle

https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/v-the-final-battle-music-from-the-mini-series/id805749432

Doesnt have music from original opening titles. Much sought after but wasn't by mini-series composer Dennis Mcarthy. I've amended my post to include Dominick Hauser's version.

More HB

Inch High Private Eye
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
Wheelie and the Chopper Bunch

Kroft
Far Out Space Nuts
Silver Surfer

Regular series.
Bob (Lee Holdridge, Bob Newhart series)
Spy Games, (1997 short lived spy series. Very tongue in cheek).
Masquerade (1984 theme for short lived series, sung by Crystal Gayle)

Jog any memories?

Am I wrong in saying the first V theme was an out and out rip-off of Herrmann's North By Northwest? Occurred to me back in the day..

According to Kenneth Johnson in the liner notes of the CD soundtrack, this was an intentional homage. He was fond of the tension that those notes conveyed.

Nope, I meant Barry De Vorzon's theme as heard in the aired mini series. It has never been released.

There were a number of theme SONGS of course. As well as Zorro there's it's close brother Dr Syn Alias the Scarecrow, Casey Jones and many others. But any compilation of this sort would have to have White Horses by Jackie Lee. In my formative years this song did things for me! Even now it breaks my heart:

Aren't every conceivable TV themes available on Youtube these days?

Yeah, but not in good lossless quality. Here's one I want:
[Brisco County Jr.]

The Untouchables by Joel Goldsmith would've been on my list...glad it's coming out! Hopefully LLL considers doing a Brisco County Jr. score release some day; the show still has an enthusiastic following.

I'll have to think about the other 9.

Yavar

I came here to post Brisco. The wildest thing is that it's on sports broadcasts all the time!

I know that my next statement is light years away from what most of you have in mind.
Looking forward to Kritzerland's release of the music from THE CISCO KID. Wonderful music from the early days of television and my youth.smile

There have been a number of sets of Astley's music for The Saint released (as well as Dangerman). There have also been at least lps (if anyone remembers those) of Dallas, Magnum PI (or at least collections with the theme) and Mannix.
