Does any composer sell better than Morricone. That's good news another blow-out. well done Quartet. I hope that Quartet will continue with Morricone. My wish is Novecento, a complete edition.

My goodness gracious, this just arrived in the mail and what a showstopper! I owned the original CD and thought I knew what time it was, but this is just a glorious and all-encompassing thing of beauty. Thank you, Quartet!!! How very right you are. I have been listening to the original CD for years, but this edition, CD 01 in particular, is a revelation. There is nuance & richness there that I never heard in the previous edition or even when watching the film. It's not just the inclusion of previously unreleased cues or the complete score in correct sequence, but in the depth & quality of the sound which adds so much more dimension & texture than I ever remember when listening to it all those years prior. I had a similar listening experience when I picked up Quartet's edition of Last Tango In Paris. Thought I knew the score from watching the film & listening to the soundtrack on vinyl & CD over the years, but Quartet's edition managed to intensify my appreciation of an already well beloved score. which I did not think was possible. To me, therein lies the real value of the contribution that labels such as Quartet perform in releasing these editions. Incredible work.
