GAME OF THRONES---new trailer released for Season 7.

HAN SOLO---Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy announced that Ron Howard is the new director of the young Han Solo movie, “At Lucasfilm, we believe the highest goal of each film is to delight, carrying forward the spirit of the saga that George Lucas began forty years ago. With that in mind, we’re thrilled to announce that Ron Howard will step in to direct the untitled Han Solo film. We have a wonderful script, an incredible cast and crew, and the absolute commitment to make a great movie. Filming will resume the 10th of July.”
Kennedy fired co-directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller due to creative differences.

STAR TREK DISCOVERY---photo released of Jason Isaacs (HARRY POTTER) as Captain Gabriel Lorca, "a steely Federation Starship Captain who's considered a brilliant military tactician", and the commander of the Starship USS Discovery.

JURASSIC WORLD 2---poster released for the sequel's official title of JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM.

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR---photo released of Benedict Cumberbatch, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo and Benedict Wong taking a lunch break during filming.

HIGHWAYMAN---Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson are in talks to star in the Netflix movie about two ex-Texas Rangers who are hired by a bank consortium to hunt down bank robbers Bonnie and Clyde.

THE ASSASSINATION OF GIANNI VERSACE: AMERICAN CRIME STORY---photo released of the FX anthology series starring Edgar Ramirez and Penelope Cruz.

BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN---a source said Angelina Jolie and Charlize Theron are feuding over the starring role in the reboot movie, "Angie hasn't made a deal with Universal to do their next monster flick, but the offer's still on the table. She could use the $20m paycheck. She seems to enjoy sticking it to Charlize, who wanted to do this film and is convinced Angie stepped in to take it off her."
The source added, "The hate fest between these two started a long time ago and just won't stop. It's as though directors are getting a buzz out of playing them against each other, by dangling a script to both of them then leaving them to bitch and slug it out."

FIRST MAN---Jason Clarke (ZERO DARK THIRTY) is in talks to play astronaut Ed White, the first astronaut to walk in space, in the Neil Armstrong biomovie.

JUDGE DREDD: MEGA-CITY ONE---producer Jason Kingsley commented on the tv series, “Long-form storytelling makes showing Mega-City One and its inhabitants much easier. Trying to fit all of that into a two-hour movie is very hard. My best guess is that it’s at least two years away. But we’re so early in the process that things could happen a bit faster, or much more slowly.”

DOWNTON ABBEY---NBCUniversal International Studios head Michael Edelstein confirmed a theatrical movie will start filming in 2018 with at least 20 members of the cast returning, “There’s a movie in the works. It’s been in the works for some time,” Edelstein said. “We are working on getting the script right and then we’ve got to figure out how to get the (cast) together. Because as you know, people go on and do other things. But we’re hopeful to make a movie sometime next year.”

DESIGNATED SURVIVOR---Virginia Madsen announced she's leaving the series, “Sorry I won’t be back for Season 2. I really enjoyed it- and the wonderful cast mates I got to work with. It was a great role. I was loving it.”

JIGSAW---Lionsgate announced the eighth movie in the SAW franchise is now titled JIGSAW instead of SAW: LEGACY

Possibly the most telling thing about this reboot is that they emphasize a captain as "a brilliant military tactician" when Star Trek at its best was as far away from war-mongering as possible and actually about morality.

Yeah, this show is going to suck pretty hard.

"I want to star in the follow-up to the movie that lost $95 million!"

"Not so fast, b****! I'm gonna star in the follow-up to the biggest flop of 2017!"

Glad Ron Howard is getting a chance to direct again.

His last few films have been big flops. Major flops.

The real news here is that Ron Howard is about to make what will be the blandest Star Wars movie ever. The guy has the directoral style of Opie Taylor.

Han Solo and the last man standing - pure poetry.

Why don't just make a movie about this? Sounds better than what they've got planned.

BLADE RUNNER 2049---new featurette released for the sequel.

Wouldnt the android factory have fixed the homicidal tendencies of those pesky androids by then? I forgot, it's a future run by corporate dictatorships without any oversight or regulations (which began in 2017).
