"ZERØ HØUR" was a conspiracy television series that followed "Hank Galliston" (Anthony Edwards), publisher of a paranormal-skeptics magazine, who gets caught up in a hunt for the holiest of relics going back to the early days of Nazi Germany after his wife, "Laila" (Jacinda Barrett), is abducted. Michael Nyqvist played "White Vincent" a notorious mercenary and terrorist. The show was a mid-season replacement for ABC, replacing the military drama "Last Resort," which was cancelled after 13 episodes. "ZERØ HØUR" premiered on Thursday, 14 February 2013, at 8 PM. Unfortunately, the one-hour show's competition in that time slot was withering. CBS had the sitcoms "The Big Bang Theory" and "Two and a Half Men" which were the #3 and #10 rated series on television that season. And Fox had #8 rated "American Idol." "ZERØ HØUR" was cancelled after 3 episodes and replaced with "Wife Swap."

Reckless desire wreaks havoc over a Memorial Day weekend as a family confronts the volatile and fragile nature of love in 2014's DAYS AND NIGHTS. Inspired by Anton Chekhov's "The Seagull," the film is set in rural New England in 1984. The ensemble cast is headed by the family matriarch "Elizabeth" (Allison Janney), an aging movie star who is joined by her lover and film director, "Peter" (Christian Camargo, who also makes his directorial debut). They are joined at the family estate by her sick brother, "Herb" (William Hurt), and her artistic son, "Eric" (Ben Whishaw). Also on the estate is the family doctor (Jean Reno), custodian (Russell Means), the caretaker (Michael Nyqvist), his wife (Cherry Jones), their daughter (Katie Holmes), and her ornithologist husband (Mark Rylance). Claire van Kampen provided the unreleased score.

In 2014's JOHN WICK, an ex-hitman (Keanu Reeves) comes out of retirement to track down the gangsters that took everything from him. Alfie Allen plays the gangster who killed Wick's dog and stole his car, and Michael Nyqvist plays Allen's father, the Russian mafia kingpin who also happens to be Wick’s old boss. Chad Stahelski is the credited director, and David Leitch is credited as a producer. This was due to Directors Guild regulations allowing for only one director to be credited, unless unusual exceptions are made. No exception was granted in this case, even though the two produced and directed this film together as a team. Stahelski voluntarily took no producer credit. In a horrifying accident, Michael Nyqvist cut his entire head open during a shooting of a scene with a stuntman, leaving his ear resting on his right shoulder. This resulted in eighty stitches. Some of the last scenes had to be re-done to hide Nyqvist's scar. The film's score, by Tyler Bates and Joel J. Richard, was released by Varese Sarabande.

A question for the English speaking fans of Michael Nyqvist: How many of his Swedish films have you seen? Other than the MILLENNIUM trilogy, none.
