THE IRISHMAN---Joe Pesci has come out of retirement to play Mafia boss Russell Bufalino in the Martin Scorsese biomovie about mob hitman Frank "The Irishman" Sheeran starring Robert De Niro. Havey Keitel is in talks to play Philadelphia crime boss Angelo Bruno. Al Pacino is in negotiations to play Jimmy Hoffa. Bobby Cannavale is in talks to play Colombo crime family mobster "Crazy Joe" Gallo.

THE BATMAN---director Matt Reeves said he's discarded the script written by Ben Affleck and Geoff Johns, “No, it’s a new story. It’s just starting again. I’m excited about it. I think it’s going to be really cool.”

THE WALKING DEAD---creator/director Frank Darabont's emails to AMC were revealed in his lawsuit against the network for not giving him his fair share of the show's profits after he was fired.
One email said, “F— you all for giving me chest pains because of the staggering f—ing incompetence, blindness to the important beats, and the beyond-arrogant lack of regard for what is written being exhibited on set every day. I deserve better than a heart attack because people are too stupid to read a script and understand the words.”
Another email said, “If the director tries to NOT SHOOT what is written, the director is beaten to death on the spot. A trained monkey is brought in to complete the job."
A third email says, “I have never been a screamer, but I am now. The work being done on this episode has turned me into one. Congratulations, you all accomplished what I thought was impossible. You’ve turned me into a raging a–hole. Thanks a lot, you f—ers.”

RAINBOW SIX---Ryan Reynolds is in talks to star as John Clark in the movie based on the Tom Clancy novel.

BRIGHT---photo released from the Netflix fantasy cop series shows Joel Edgerton, Lucy Fry and Will Smith.

SCARFACE---director David Ayers left the remake movie due to a schedule problem. Sources said Universal Pictures thought his remake was "too dark".

ELYSIUM---Neill Blomkamp said he wants to make a sequel, "The idea of the separation of class warfare presented with this space ring is incredibly appealing to me and I would love to go back and make another movie in the world of Elysium because it’s compelling. I just think I can do a better job in setting up what the themes are more clearly and what the character’s motivations are. I can do it better, I think.”

THE RHYTHM SECTION---Blake Lively stars in this movie based on the first of the "Stephanie Patrick" novels. Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli of the James Bond movie's Eon Productions, are the producers.

MAMA MIA: HERE WE GO AGAIN---Lily James (CINDERELLA, BABY DRIVER) has joined the sequel cast.

And that's exactly the kind of thing I'd want Pesci to come out of retirement for. I'll await a trailer to see if it looks any good.
