Isn't "mid", halfway point and on? LOL. Anyway no big deal. No big deal? Solium, this is FSM. Everything is a big deal! Anyway, "mid" just means "in the middle of," not "past the midway point." I'll turn 54 next month, and much as I would like the believe that means I'm "early 50s," I have to admit I'll be "mid-50s." (But this month, I'm still early!) So mid-2000s definitely means 2004-2006, and could be argued to be 2003-2007. Beyond that, the "mid" definition would be questionable (though "mid" is vague enough that if, say, a series ran from 2004-2008, you'd call it a "mid-2000s" series even though it extended pretty much into late). And that's all I have to say about "mid"!
