From where since it is not "released" for two more days? Varese send me a shipping confirmation yesterday with a tracking number...

Ordered from Amazon. $2.00 cheaper on Amazon (plus free shipping) than on Varese's site. Yeah, you go ahead and order directly from the record labels, I will save the $6.50.

Re: Mr. Young's reference to the Universal black and white horrors. A number of years ago, I had the pleasure of sitting on a panel at UCLA sponsored by the Society of Film Music (then known as the Society for the Preservation of Film Music) on the subject of fantasy, science fiction snd horror pictures. Among the other participants were Christopher Young discussing his work and our own Lukas discussing John Williams. I was there to talk about Hans J. Salter, and I did something Hans himself had once done in a similarly scholarly situation: screened a scene from one of his films without the underscore and then with it. I chose the first werewolf transformation and murder from FRANKENSTEIN MEETS THE WOLF MAN. The difference in impact, of course, was striking, and I loved Christopher Young's assessment of this demonstration, in words which could well be the motto for the Film Music Society or, for that matter, FSM: "No music, no movie."

Couldn't Varese have waited and included the above from Christopher Young in the cd booklet ? We unfortunately don't get enough new Young releases and you would have thought this should have been inside *sigh

I finally picked this up. Really enjoying it - has all the ingredients that make me adore Young's work. Good contrast with big orchestral gothic action and creepy experimental stuff. I was put off by the weaksauce cover artwork for a long time. I regret.
