Thanks to all involved! Great issue.

I was especially interested in the section "Counting the Morricone scores". Years ago I started a Letterboxd list for that same reason... it's still work in progress and the article in this issue comes in handy as another (and reliable) source.

Absolutely - I’ve printed it off to read when I get the chance (much prefer to see the printed page)!

Indeed counting Morricone's scores is a hardcore problem for any Morricone collector. Look forward to reading how you guys approach this.

Thank you all for your compliments and encouragements.
"I’ve printed it off to read when I get the chance (much prefer to see the printed page)!" Me too, I prefer reading it on paper ! It is nice, comfortable and classy.

It is always a demanding task to prepare and achieve this stuff for the Maestro’s work memory. There is always some discoveries, information to dig out. It is far to be achieved.

Those who are deeply interested in Morricone music still could register to receive the publication.
The table of contents is here : http://www.chimai.com/index.cfm?screen=fanzine&id=15
We encourage them to join us : http://www.chimai.com/index.cfm?screen=register

We can be more than our readers number now, especially from North America (the review is in English to be read by everyone).

Good reading.

I'm almost through with reading this issue and confirm it's a very consistent and entertaining one. As usual, Maestro mirrors the large scope of EM's body of work: soundtracks, arrangements for singers, etc. Congratulations to you Patrick and to Didier for putting so much efforts into it. Highly recommended for anyone interested in Morricone's music and anxious to find out about oddities and less known facts as well (I think for instance of the 'Old news' section). Kudos to Didier for his tribute to the great Luis Bacalov.

As you know, Morricone will be 90 years old on November 10th this year.

On this occasion (but a little later), among other things, in this very special and thick number of our on-line fanzine "Maestro", we will evoke and publish very diverse tributes by recent works. But it would be interesting to collect the testimonies and the contributions of all kinds, coming from listeners and spectators as you and me.
Obviously, the testimonial must be a little original or precise, with a well-defined point of view, a particular look on his work, including negative or critical. It can also evoke the collaboration with a director or a musician.
For the shape and the length, of course, each is free: "letter", text seriousness, anecdote, etc., whether it is a paragraph or X pages.

You’re welcome to send me your text through a PM, before, say, November 10th.
Regards,
Patrick
