Looking forward to it. Whilst we're a difficult bunch to please and there's always something more film music fans want, I have to say I think we have had it really good overall and this is an example of that.
Man, I am going to have to get with the program. I've yet to pick up even the first volume and would be very excited to hear this. My wallet just can't keep up with all of the amazing releases these days. Soon, though, this will be mine.
Im especially curious about "God Grante That She Lye Stille" - music in this episode is awesome especially unique woodwind figure (similiar to one of First Knight cue), and majestic horns.
Some copies from both Tadlow and Screen Archives shipped a few days early ...so should start dropping through letter boxes any day now ...would love t hear what people think of it ?
Amazon are showing a release date of May 18th and it's nearly 20 quid on ebay at the mo. I paid around 11 quid for the 1st volume. This one is a bit steeper. I've got the money, but don't like feeling ripped off, paying over the odds. I'll keep a-checkin' and play all my other CD's in the meantime.

Yeah - got mine yesterday and played it last night. Initial opinion on first hearing: great stuff again; thanks for this, James.

All Tadlow releases are released directly to film music fans one month before I release them on Amazon. That way Tadlow and loyal customers like Screen Archive etc... have my titles available in advance of giants like Amazon!!!!

Found my copy in my mailbox when I got home this evening. I hadn't yet seen this thread, so it was a pleasant surprise.
Still listening to it now and what I've heard so far sounds wonderful. A superb job, as always. I think I'm going to enjoy volume 2 even more than the first.
I usually wait to buy soundtracks until I can combine them to save on shipping. But this one was important enough for me to order it directly from Tadlow.

I purchased this CD from SAE and it should be in my hands tomorrow afternoon. I hope it does exceedingly well and helps finance your future recording of THE NIGHT OF THE HUNTER. Perhaps next year. ???? No pressure, James. Just hoping.
