... and the prices drop on Ebay and Amazon. wink

I don't recall the score having much impact on me when I saw the film, and the CD sold out so fast I never bothered sampling the music. I think I'll have a little more time to contemplate the score this go around.

If you love the action cues from FIRST BLOOD PART II, then this will be right up your alley.

Personally, I think the action cues are pretty good, but the cutesy music for the baby dino gets pretty treacly to me. Just one man's opinion.

Intrada is becoming the King of the Double Dippers.

(I'm happy, though, for those who missed it the first time.)

Are you suggesting Jerry can be 'sappy'?

Actually, I'm shocked at just how much it resembles FIRST BLOOD PART II! As in "why bother getting this...I already own Rambo".

At least, that's how the audio samples sounded to me when I listened to them.

But this is an awesome win for anyone who missed out the first time around and refused to pay the ridiculously high after-market prices!

Sure. He's just a man.

But nice release from Intrada! If only I were psychic, I could have sold mine months ago!

(And yes, that means I'm hanging on to my old CD, despite its occasional mawkishness.)

Amazing! One of the most underrated of Goldsmith's underrated gems. Close to a 5-star effort for me. Can't wait to listen to all the new details that come through on this one.

I've been playing this score in the car on the way to and from work these past two days. Just this afternoon as I pulled into the drive I couldn't help thinking what a great score it is. As with Rambo III, the new version shall be mine!

Not re-buying (satisfied with the prior Intrada disc), but happy for those who missed out and get another crack at it...it's a terrific score. smile

Thxs, appears to be in the "Explorers" style. Strongly considering a purchase.

To be fair to the maestro, the film was a bit sappy and mawkish at times. What's a composer gonna do? ;-)

If you saw my Jerry Goldsmith collection, you would not feel that you needed to defend him from me. I'm just explaining why some of this score doesn't work for me.

I remember being caught up in the panic first time round & buying it even although I'd never seen the film or heard any of the soundtrack (quick sell-outs, those were the days!), by the time the CD arrived, I'd lost all interest, I think it's still in the shrink-wrap somewhere.
