Much like "American Beauty", the blast of something fresh was really exciting. The difference being that "Rumble Fish" wasn't a hit, so the score had no impact on the music producers would be wanting. Thomas Newman's score was imitated to such a degree that the sound became shorthand for a dark or off-kilter Americana.
Yeah.. Copeland is skilled i love this score for its colourful flavours - good listening vibe, the small amount of instruments, percussive pieces - created elements, ticking clocks - type writer were excellently used SC gives an added mood - quirkiness & emotional balance.
