A great theme! I still hope for a release of Schifrin's Starsky.

You summoned it up exactly like i would have done...it´s a fantastic theme and I remember watching the show when it first aired in my country and got so upset when they switched themes later on.

I feel the funk, I feel the passion, I feel the adrenalin, I feel the beat, but mostly I feel the ACTION...

Lalo did an amazing theme it this will be the one I forever remember him for.

Yes, I like the Petrocelli theme too. He never did finish building that house, did he?

Hey, thanks! Much appreciated. The theme is absolute dynamite, isn't it? Urgency, velocity ... a blistering and ballistic intro. The laidback approach that followed in Season 2 was surely in-tandem with the tonal change of the show towards more comedy.

That Schifrin theme originated from the pilot, where it can be heard in it´s extended form near the end of that episode during a chase and shoot out inside a building. Parts of Schifrins score here are very reminiscing to his Dirty Harry soundtrack..
