What is your favorite SHORT cue? I ask this because I was listening to the McNeely Citizen Kane tonight and the track "Thanks" came on. It is a remarkable piece and at just 8 seconds conveys so much! So, do you have a favorite short cue?

"Hit the Button" from the original Star Trek episode score, "Where No Man Has Gone Before" on the first volume of original Star Trek music from GNP Crescendo - this three-second burst of hysteria just puts a grin on my face. http://www.filmscoremonthly.com/board/smile.gif">- JE ------------------ “There it stuck fast, and would move no more...”

"Sphinx" from Rabin's GONE IN 60 SECONDS is a pretty damn cool theme.

The cue "Upset" from "Frances" - about 1 economical minute of simple, understated, haunting melancholia from John Barry. Genius.

Track 10 from The Blue Max. I'm too lazy to go get the cd cover to find out what it's called http://www.filmscoremonthly.com/board/wink.gif"> Anyway, it's a nice short little cue that sounds like the main title only mutated into a waltz type version. There is another track that uses this same theme on the CD, but it's just as short. I actually wish this it had been longer and more developed.NP: Clear and Present Danger

"Childrens Story" from Star Trek: Insurrection. I'm sure there are more I've forgotten at the moment, though.NP: Ultimate Edition (John Williams)
