Sadly, I'm really the person who requested this and seem to have found my answer on my own.

Bummer...

I'm pretty confident I have this music in my collection, as a CD-R transfer of an LP single released at the time of the film. But it's a bad transfer. It skips and flutters. Pretty cheesy-cool music, though.

You might not know, if it's just a CD-R (and not the actual LP with the label on it), but what is the title of that cheesy-cool ROTJ single?

I want to add it to my "favorite eBay searches."

I don't remember, but I'll get back to you once I get home to my collection...

Glad to see you haven't drowned in the hypocracy/idiocy/patheticness/lamenessness of your other haunt, Neil. big grin

So, anyone know:

What is the actual title (from the label of the LP single) of the cheesy-cool disco music heard on Jabba's sail barge on the way to the sarlacc pit?

Yes. Didn't you know Jabba's Hutt serves 31 flavours? How'd you think he got so fat?

This music has never been released in any format. Thor, you might be thinking of the extended mix of Lapti Nek, which was only released as a single. Incidentally, the film version of Lapti Nek has never been released.

Wouldn't either of these missing cues have been a fun cool track on the Target "Corellian Edition" best-of-Episodes I-VI premium?

(Not that I didn't go Tuesday and buy the ROTS soundtrack a second time anyway, just to own this cardboard-enveloped 50-minute compilation disc of OTHER Star Wars music I also already own . . .)

Yes, it would be fantastic. Instead we'll probably get an extended mix of Jedi Rocks.

It has been reported by those in-the-know that the cue in question disappeared when the documentary "From Star Wars to Jedi" was made (that's the last time it was heard). It has never been released, despite vague rememberances here to the contrary.

Honestly, if it existed, can you think of any good reason it would not have been released by now? Hell, anything that could be advertised as "contains previously unreleased music!" would sell much better than yet another compilation of music we all already own.
