"Ballgame over! American League East over! Yankees win! THHHEEEEEE YANKEES WIN!" Partial atonement for last year to do that in Boston, but now I want to see the Perfect Storm of Yankees win, Cleveland win, and Cleveland beat Boston in tiebreaker for wildcard.

"Ballgame over! American League East over! Yankees win! THHHEEEEEE YANKEES WIN!" I await the broadcast when this guy's head blows off. Should be a lot of laughs. "Yankees win! THHHEEEEEE YANKEES---" BAMF!

Anz, JETS did OK yesterday. No one expected them to win, but it wasn't a disaster. I'll be in my seats for every home game, just like I was the year we were 1-15. It wasn't a disaster? I worked yesterday, and only caught the game from the middle of the third quarter on. And also caught the "highlights" (?)on Espn. It was , ahh, pretty bad. Can the Jets finally draft a TALL beefy quarterback for once? This poor kid looked like road kill out there. I thought Sean Landeta was out there wearing "5" in a Jets uniform running for his life. Next week will have (once again, YAWN) 41 year old Testeverde quarterbacking this team again.(cross your fingers and toes) What, Steve DeBerg was not available? Pennington simply is too fragile. He returned too quickly. Every time this guy gets hit, and tackled, you have to hold your breath. And with a shoulder injury, and scar tissue, and all of this medical stuff involved with his shoulder, (considering he was a weak passer to begin with ) it might be time to look to draft at that position. He might very well be through. I'm still not sold on Herm Edwards. Putting Pennington back in that game to throw flutterballs to further injure himself was a boneheaded move.

A little scare in the 9th but Mo came through! Al Leiter getting into a postseason game as a Yankee has a certain poetic irony in that he is the only Yankee who can say he once played for Billy Martin and was a teammate of Willie Randolph (1988), providing a direct link to the late 70s championship teams that no other Yankee who has been part of the dynasty run can claim.
