The tracks totaled 58:52 and were encoded in 128. So I guess that makes them totally undesirable for many of the prigs here.

The "Main Titles" reminds me of that post-Gandalf-fall music from LORD OF THE RINGS.

Really? I always thought this score was quite popular, espescially with the Play Dead track sung by Bjork that still gets plenty of airplay on radio stations.

Exactly how many discussions have you seen directly related to the score (not just the song)

By "prigs" you presumably mean those of us who want our music to sound like music and not a digital file that sounds like, well, a digital file?

According to David Arnold, EMI has the rights to do the score release for AMAZING GRACE.

James

P.S. He said he completed HOT FUZZ three days ago.

Thanks for this post James. He was nice enough to respond to my question directly by e-mail but I didn't know if he posted anything in the forum.

There are some really nice tracks on this CD (I love the gentle piano theme and the wordless choir tracks), but the overall listen isn't that great.
Maybe it's the brevity of most of the cues - not that many get past 1'50 - that make it a 'bitty' listen, but it's still got that beauty I first heard the other week at the Festival Hall concert in London.
I'll play it through a few more times and select a programme that works for me.
This has quickly become a David Arnold favourite for me.
Any other converts to this score (before or after the concert)?
