These are probably the two scores by Mr Cliff that I would like to see given a release by the Varese CD Club or some such label in the future (with Delirious a close 3rd).
Meteor Man is a great superhero/action adventure score with lots of exciting brassy fanfares and pounding percussion. It's a bit temp tracky (there are obvious nods to TIE Fighter attack from Star Wars, Back to the Future, Superman and Hoffa) and it has some riffs from his own ST Undiscovered Country score, but it is very enjoyable and listenable, back when he was kinda new on the block and really showing off.
As is his really fun score from the Dudley Moore comedy Crazy People, which I remember enjoying when I watched it years ago. It takes it's cue from Grusin's Heaven Can Wait score, but is really catchy and bouncy in it's own right, and has a HUGE orchestral track towards the end, which would probably make it really expensive to release.
Also, some of the tender music between Moore and Daryl Hannah is just beautiful.
Anyone familiar with these scores?
What do you think?

I love both of these, particularly Crazy People. I actually bought the DVD just so that I could hear the score in decent quality.

The both have my vote for future release on CD!

I like them a lot. Meteor Man is probably a better score for me since I am not a big fan of crazy comedy writting of Crazy People.

It was mentioned before that Meteor Man was planned but never happened - the film belongs to MGM, so it could probably happen now.

I am not sure at the moment, but I think that Crazy People was a Paramount movie, therefore won´t probably happen anytime soon frown

Delirious would be awesome as well! Is it also an MGM production?

Delirious is also my favorite Eidelman score.

Figured I'd bump this up today. Listening to "Crazy People" right now.
Absolutely PHENOMINAL!!!! My new favorite Eidelman score. Many
thanks Quartet for this one, and lots of other soundtracks from your
label past, present, and future.

Crazy People is a very nice score indeed. I initially was not going to pick it up (never saw the film) and was not familiar with the music at all. But the sound samples made me take a chance, and now this album is in heavy rotation on my playlist. I recommend it.

Ahhhhh, an old Cliffy thread by me.
It's great that I have one of them already, another on the way (Delirious from the same label) and I'm sure Meteor Man isn't too far away either.
At least while he's not scoring that much these days, we can get some old unreleased scores by him from yesteryear! smile

My Eidelman score that I am waiting, not patiently, for is Leap of Faith.

That's a tough release, as there's only 10-15 minutes of score in the film.

METEOR MAN would be an instant buy for me!

Ditto I hope this gem will be released soon. From what I can remember there's about 60 min + of music from the film?

I hope there's no issues w/a this potential score release.

Clearly it isn't an elements issue, as the "promo" sounds fantastic.
