It's been decades since I've seen EARTHQUAKE (as a kid... I enjoyed the movie back then), but coincidentally, I got the LP the same weekend I saw the movie (on TV), if not the same day even. AFAIR, there was not a lot of music in the movie, is there actually anything missing from the LP (as opposed to alternate recordings etc.?) In any case, a remastered version (including an alternate Main Title sans sound effects) would be welcome. The score is very short, so I'd certainly welcome alternate or additional tracks, by all means in a bonus section, since the original LP program runs indeed fine the way it is.

EARTHQUAKE is a studio potboiler. It had no real story to tell (putting people into an earthquake is not a story but a situation, but the movie doesn't care much), the quake itself takes almost an our to get going, and what little bits and pieces of character development we get is indeed cliché and overwrought. TOWERING INFERNO is a better movie for sure. Yet I remember that I enjoyed EARTHQUAKE nevertheless. :-)
