Do you guys ever use this feature? I have Wednesdays off, and sometimes for something to look forward to on Wednesday I choose 1 day shipping on Tuesday. Actually I do 2 day shipping on Monday. UPS always comes at 2 on Wednesdays and I'm always at the bottom of my driveway at 2 with a big smile on my face waiting for my package.smileTomorrow I'm expecting RAMBO III!

I use the free 2-day shipping because I got a free Amazon Prime account. I love it, but haven't used the 1-day shipping yet. I'm more than content to save a few bucks for an extra day.

I have an Amazon Prime account too since I order just about everything from them, but I use it almost exclusively for two day delivery. I have used 1 day shipping on rare occasions in a pinch for things like last minute presents. Great price and it has always gotten there when I needed it.

I often find myself receiving packages in one day despite selecting free two day shipping. This especially true when I order items on Thursdays.

No, never used it. I like the free shipping when you spend $25 or more. I won't pay extra to get my items a little faster.

Hmmm. I may have to try that. Or maybe you live close than usual to a distribution center.

I am such an impetuous sort. I want stuff immediately, if not sooner. Also, being independently wealthy, cost is never a concern.......I'm just kidding. Seriously, I use the one day delivery a lot. To me it is worth a couple of extra bucks. Never had a problem with it, but my local UPS people never seem to get my shipment to me until really late in the afternoon That's a bit of a bummer!

I buy a lot of stuff off amazon so I do their amazon PRIME thingy. I thin it's like $80.00 a year and you get free second day shipping and if there is something you really want, you can upgrade for only $3.99 for 1 day shipping. I LOVE it and use it quite often.

Same here. If you buy even a relatively small amount from Amazon every year, Prime pays for itself quickly. And it's especially useful if you have a kid and subscribe to their diapers program. smile

If they'd been able to deliver to Norway in 1 day, I'd surely be impressed! smile

Amazon Prime is $69, I believe, and free for students. Considering there has never been a moment where I didn't have an order placed with Amazon, it pays for itself in no time.

Free 2 day shipping on all orders, and free release-date shipping on all pre-orders.

Have been an Amazon Prime member since its introduction.

Still, on occasion, I will do a one-day shipping on a Wednesday to ensure I receive an item on Thursday when I want take a Friday off for a 3-day weekend.

It allows for spontaneity, I think, to use the one-day shipping for a whim.

Where did you see $69.00 as I have only ever seen it for $79.00

After your free trial, Amazon Prime is just $79/year.

Just a bit of clarification about "2-day" shipping.

Sometimes, this just doesn't work out. How long it takes to ship something depends on the point of origination. Usually, my DVDs and CDs (covered by Prime) arrive quickly...often on the "next" day...but at other times, it takes 3 days when the shipment originates on the east coast (I am in California).

And, as is true with all such plans, the offeror (in this case, Amazon) reserves the right to select the mode of shipping it thinks will best suit its needs. Most of the time, I receive packages via UPS or ONTRAC, but sometimes other shipping means are employed. It depends on the location of the warehouse.
