These have a sort of 1970s television feel. Neat to see, thanks.
Nuclear Wessels is giving me an error: "This video contains content from MOVIECLIPS, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds. Sorry about that." What the hell is Movieclips? You posted this today and already they've taken it down?!? I'm all for respecting copyright, but this was obviously an automated screening process and an automated takedown process designed to kowtow to overzealous copyright holders. What happened to due process and verification of appropriate use? I shouldn't start on the abuse by copyright holders on freedom of speech or I'll be here all night. Argh.
Thanks for posting these. Incidentally I checked Rosenman's scores but he did not title the individual cues; someone in the music dept. did later for the cue sheet. So he did not give these unused cues titles...
Someone in another thread mentioned that "I Hate You" should've been the song playing for young Kirk's joy ride in Abrams' Trek film. I thought this was a genius idea and I'd love to see someone make this clip happen.
Lukas: I know. Just went by what was written in the liner notes. Just seemed to fit the scene for titles is all.
I'm always fascinated by how a scene might have played out with music playing in it that was unused or an alternate version. Does anybody else have any examples of this?

The rebel base music at the beginning of The Empire Strikes Back. For whatever reason that music in particular has really stuck with me and I usually find myself humming along with it even though it isn't there. (Drives my wife NUTS.)
The funny thing is I totally agree with the decision to remove it. I think it gives the scenes a wonderful reality and ambiance to not have score there. I use that and the Kobayashi Maru from Wrath of Khan as examples where a lack of score really puts you into the "world".

I agree not every frame of film should be scored, but I actually wish they did use those cues. They are a lot of fun and add to the whimsical nature of those scenes. Thxs to OP for posting these.
Wonder how long it'll take for someone to put the alternates to picture? Would be interesting to see the main titles and "Home Again" done up like that.
