There are other, more famous examples, but one of my faves is "Break-In" from THE CASSANDRA CROSSING - you know, the bit in the hospital at the beginning. George P. Comatose got a lot of stick for some of his films, but I enjoyed many of them, and he certainly knew how give the music room to breathe. In the Goldsmith example, sound effects are dialled down to a minimum, and it becomes almost a ballet of violence.
