The box set of the lot has never been available in the UK, but Amazon UK are selling the individual seasons for around £16 each, which works out roughly the same as the US offer. I'm tempted, but no, I still have the unwatched DVD boxes.

CinemaScope: Re: "I still have the unwatched DVD boxes"

That's a sign that you should NOT buy the set on Blu-ray! I was teetering on buying the James Dean set when I found that I had never taken the earlier DVD set out of its original shrink wrap, and keep finding many of my DVDs still in their plastic wrap. Figure out how long it would take to watch all of the items AND their bonus material and ask yourself: Will I reality watch this? I'm wondering if I'll EVER watch more than 3 of the Hitchcock films in the huge set or more than just the Connery 007s in the "BOND50" set. We're like kids in the candy store, and just because we have enough coin in our pocket to buy a lot of candy doesn't mean we SHOULD. Of course I should talk! I place so many Amazon pre-orders that I can't always keep track of 'em!

I'm the same way. I'll buy a Blu-ray or, even still, a DVD of something just to have it, often with no interest in watching it any time soon. I have a few movies on Blu-ray bought at least two or three years ago that I still haven't watched (NETWORK, TAXI DRIVER, JAWS), and I even forget that I have them.

As for "The Twilight Zone" on Blu-ray.... I love the show, but I watched it to death when I was a kid and have caught it so often on the Sci-Fi (or SyFy) channel that I really can't get into this. I just know it'll just be yet another dust collector, like the entire "Star Trek" original series I have on Blu-ray that I've had for nearly a year and have only watched maybe five episodes.

Collecting can get out of hand so easily.

Rory: Re: "Collecting can get out of hand so easily."

I think that a large number of us here are afflicted with the collecting bug, whether it be books, magazines, music, movies, electronics, you name it. I've repeatedly made the point of my over 4,000 DVDs and 4,000 CDs and thousands of LPs and now 200 Blu-rays, and certainly have no authority to complain about anyone else's tendency to collect. But when we buy something realizing there's a good chance we'll never watch it, I think that that's the time to draw the line. Easier said than done, of course, as I happen to be someone who recently bought all seasons of "Kyle XY" and "Teen Wolf" and "Dexter"!!! Physician, heal thyself!

You have to install yourself a 'to watch' pile wink Everything new I get I will play at least once to enjoy the movie and also check to see if the disc etc. is in order. I usually try to watch some special features after I've seen the movie because it's still fresh but it's sometimes a struggle to finish most of them.

Regarding the twilight zone series, I have often wanted to get these but kept postponing. I have never seen them but definitely want to and will wait till they are even cheaper on blu-ray, in the 50-60 euro price range.
