The concert should be part of upcoming Transatlantyk film festival in Poznan, Poland on August 4. Anyone going? Sadly, there are no guests announced so far and I couldn't find anything where to buy tickets... but if Sara Andon will be there as well as Robert Townson... I am sure it will be worth it to travel there and finally meet them both... ********************************************************* The concert celebrating the 35th anniversary of the famous record label Varèse Sarabande will take place on August 4th, 2013, in the Concert Hall of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan; this is a real treat for the film music lovers. The first concert took place in May 2013 in Los Angeles and was performed by the Golden State Pops Orchestra. The U.S. concert was attended by the label’s best composers and a number of prominent representatives of the Hollywood music arena. Varèse Sarabande was founded in 1978; this record label specializes in film music and is famous for the names such as George Korngold, Miklós Rózsa and Elmer Bernstein. Its catalog includes over 1500 soundtracks. Producing 60-70 titles per year, it remains one of the most prolific record labels in the world.
