What the....? When I first looked at this thread, the poster was for some bizarre quasi-porno sf film - with, yes, some very OTT phallic imagery. Either I'm starting to go insane (starting?) or Chickenhearted pulled an old switcheroo.

Of course now my phallic comment is quite hilarious in this new context!

Jules Dassin did a better job a few years later based on same material because the "crossed" love story in that Warner movie is a little bit boring.
