"Gladiator" is a fantastic, upbeat score with some fast edge, and a lovely love theme which later found its way into "The Vanishing", though the theme is more developed and presented better here. It's infused with emotion, adrenaline, and some '80's feel good, even though it was 1992. Replete with drum machine. Why this and "2 Days in the Valley" didn't sell so well and were rather discontinued, I'll never know. All these Goldsmith fans always clamoring for more Jerry, anbd when they are presented with it, they pass; this what? The third or four Goldsmith title discontinued at Intrada? I don't imagine this will be fetching high prices on eBay, but still, if you got a chance, try out the samples. The sound is sharp, with great clarity, and the brass has some bite to it at times.

Any Goldsmith I buy within the first week of their release, unless it is a re-release. This score is not one of his best, also a rejected and that might be one reason why it is not selling well. It will sell good now. Everyone is probably thinking that Goldsmith scores will be around for awhile, well Intrada is forcing the sales with its fast deletion. Never really cared for much from Fiedel.

Ordered Gladiator with Kritzerland's Missouri Breaks. I hope a preorder won't exclude receiving Gladiator (I can wait for it as the order fulfills).
