Hello all! csem1975 here. Call me csem, its easier. Just registered here, and wanted to say hi to everyone here and im looking forward to discussing music and composers with all of you! Im 38 years old and fell in love with film music listening to my Star Wars soundtrack record when i was little. Sci-fi provides such a broad canvas, that those are my favorite genre, but I still love many others. I still get chills listening to "Carlotta's Portrait" from Bernard Herrmann's Vertigo! Anyway, ive also come to love game scores as well. Hope to get to know all of you, and look forward to some healthy discussion and debate for our love of film music! Thanks!

Welcome to the board. Star Wars got many people started with film scores. For me it was Mancini, Korngold, Steiner, etc.

Welcome csem! If you soon begin to suspect that you've joined the circus...well, we all know how that feels. Kindly enjoy our occasional bursts of humanity, wisdom, humor or insight, and ignore any pettiness, self-indulgence or plain out stupidity that may appear. You'll have a good time here and your blood pressure will do just fine. We look forward to your contributions.

Whatever you do, don't mention Hans Zimmer. Seriously, don't do it. If you do, don't say I didn't warn you. wink
