Anybody know the origin of this euphoneous appellation? Does it go back to Ireland? It was, of course, the name of a bank robber in THE BANK DICK (played by George Moran). It was also (a few years earlier) the name of Robert Armstrong's dog.

I know he wasn't in Shakespeare!! From where comest thou, McNasty?
