To all users, effective a few days ago, any new forum registrations that contain invalid email addresses will be blocked and deleted. As demonstrated in countless threads over the years, and even today, it's too easy for users to set up an account with a fake email address or IP so that they can then post inflammatory comments or pose as multiple users to stir up some kind of trollery and grind an old axe. We are using an email validation process to strengthen our effort to keep banned users out, and to minimize trolling from repeat anonymous offenders as much as possible. I know some of you may have privacy reasons not to register with a valid email address, but if you cannot be forthright about who you are and use a valid email address, then it leads us to believe you may have nefarious motives. Our apologies in advance if this policy seems unfairly prejudgmental, but experience has proven repeatedly that this new process is needed. This thread is not intended to be a debatable subject, so it's on insta-lock, but I will be happy to answer any questions or concerns via email. Thanks. DSS
