Has anyone seen this? This is truly spectacular, if you ask me.

Thanks for posting this. I've always loved marching band formations, and the way the music was arranged for band. Many years ago, I had an opportunity to see the Drum Corps International finals in Madison, WI. It's even more amazing when you see these things in person. Not only is the precision of the movements amazing, but the AMOUNT of sound produced by the instruments when they play full blast is astonishing. I mean, really, to be playing in a huge outdoor football field, and still be able to produce even volume (without amplification) to force you to shout at the person next to you if you want to be heard, is pretty good! Two of my favorite bands were The Phantom Regiment and The Blue Devils. here's a segment of The Blue Devils' suite of Herrmann/Hitchcock themes, called "Methods of Madness."

He, he...no, we're lucky if they can WALK in synchronization.

That being said, we have some bands that are great musicians, and we also have ONE that is particularly good at formations and stuff -- The Royal Guard:

Didn't know a marching band half-time show could be Really inspiring but this is something else!
