This ain't half bad I grabbed it pretty much as a make-weight in an order I did with Movie Music some time ago. It was on offer for about 7 dollars (used) and I thought, what the hell, Davis can be good when he's really on (I'd stopped buying his stuff outright having been burned by UniSol 2 and Invasion, two cheapo sounding synth scores that left me cold). I didn't really know what to expect with this one, but I wasn't expecting such a balls-to-the-wall, all-out horror/action epic! Huge choir cues (leaping from The Omen to Hellraiser to Conan in single bounds), kick-ass action licks in the best Goldsmith tradition, plus moments of cathedral beauty and tenderness. You could slice this CD three ways and get different vibes from all. It's a promo release (by Ford T and co) with bare-bones packaging (as was the norm with these babies) and there's 60 minutes of music (all orchestra, with copious amounts of choir). So, if you see one knockin' around, it's worth a punt if you like rollicking old-school horror scores.

I've heard this on spotify and it is VERY serious sounding. There are no comedic elements AT ALL!
