CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO's NEWEST SEGMENT: THE TRACK OF THE DAY
This new segment won't be a daily update but hopefully I can feature some great single tracks on a more regular basis while you wait for the longer programs to be produced. I also plan on featuring some previously unreleased cues for your listening pleasure.
With that said here is the first track of the day.
Best damned score of 2013. Banos hit this out of the park. Love the whole score. Final cue with a brass chorale statement of the Brother/Sister theme is frickin' amazing.
Thank you, Erik, for reminding us of this dramatic composition (I had forgotten that I own this CD). This music complements Mr. Eidelmann's Star Trek VI, which has always impressed me.
Last week, the CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO SPOTLIGHT focused on the music of Christopher Young. Enjoy music from RUNAWAY JURY, THE SHIPPING NEWS, MURDER AT 1600, SWORDFISH, THE BIG KAHUNA, THE FLY II and GETTING EVEN.
This week the CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO SPOTLIGHT is proud to present RE-RECORDING BERNSTEIN. Elmer Bernstein passed away ten years ago this month and we here at Cinematic Sound Radio would like to honour the legendary composer with a week long celebration of some of his re-recorded music. We open up with music from the 1961 western, THE COMANCHEROES featuring The Utah Symphony Orchestra.
Last week CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO presented the TV music of Bear McCreary. You can now listen to the entire show featuring music from BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, HUMAN TARGET, TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNER CHRONICLES, DA VINCI'S DEMONS and THE CAPE.

Kinda funny you followed Bernstein with McCreary, who looked up to, worked for, and actually transcribed and rearranged some of his older music for re-recording.
