What's remarkable about that sentence?

Eternal honor to the first who gets it. ;-)

It's a Palindrome and reads the same, forwards or backwards.

(Will there be a ceremony where I'll get my honor, and who will be the eternal honor bearer? smile Can I invite friends, family and other guests, and will there be food? smile )

I note that mastadge and mike j cheated and didn't actually indicate the remarkableness of the sentence---only giving examples. smile I didn't read, anywhere in the rules, that you could do that. smile Therefore they should forfeit any chance at the eternal honor---assuming, of course, that it's something good. If it's bad, they can each have one. smile "Rules Is Rules," I say. And that's sort of a palindrome, too---since you can write it backwards as "rules is rules". smile smile

As to answering your question, "Was it a cat or a car I saw?", you first saw a cat, then a car, then, unfortunately, nothing resembling a cat. frown

That's why we keep our cats indoors and not in close proximity to any cars......or palindromes! smile

Sit on a potato pan, Otis.

Was that insult aimed at me??? And, by the way, my name's not "Otis"! smile smile

I guess that does look like a variation of Fonzie's "Sit on it!" big grin

Another gem: "A slut nixes sex in Tulsa."

Congrats to mastadge.

And a little congrats to manderley too, for explaining it... ;-)

In fairness, First Breath, I think you need to award duplicate prizes and honors to EVERYONE on the thread! smile

This will likely cost you a bundle of money, but, after all, we're probably worth it, since we bring quite a bit of wordplay experience and erudition to your thread.

In expectation of the arrival of the award, I will clear a nice place on my fireplace mantel where it will take an appropriate place of honor, but I will also clear out some room in my wall safe for the bundles of cash you will probably also want to send, too. I would suggest that all of the other awardees also do this in anticipation of the delivery of our awards and ca$h. smile smile
