Assuming this one is as definitive as we hope it will be, I'm very much looking forward to finally having some of the subtler instances of Jafar's theme!
So happy Disney is continuing the Legacy Collection. Really looking forward to this.
Hope this also means "Mulan" will finally happen next year!
There's no rhyme or reason to these releases. I'm surprised Mulan hasn't come out already. Its got the Disney fan base and the Jerry Goldsmith fan base behind it.
I'm thrilled Aladdin is finally happening! Bring on Hercules and Mulan next please. I wonder if The Rescuers Down Under and The Black Cauldron (both already dealt with by Intrada) are considered Legacy enough to receive a re-issue in this collection.

I doubt it.
It's pretty clear Disney wants to release the premium titles on their own while handing off other titles to Intrada.
Its been a long time since we got a Disney animated title from Intrada. I hoped they'd do The Great Mouse Detective. Surprise its not out yet after doing The Rescuers Down Under.
BTW, anyone remember someone signing up as "LittleBirdy" or something like that and released a whole track list for The Rescuers under the Legacy brand. I wonder what happened with that?

I forget the username of the user who leaked the Rescuers tracklist (LittleBirdy leaked the Robin Hood tracklist), but much as I would like it to be legitimate, I’ve heard nothing about it in the four years since it was leaked.
As far as Great Mouse Detective is concerned, one thing that needs to be mentioned is the fact that Varese did the initial soundtrack release. Would anyone in the know happen to know if Great Mouse Detective ended up in Varese’s perpetuity list (though I’m not entirely sure Disney would have allowed one of their scores to be owned in perpetuity by another label)?
Someone at D23 posted pictures of the CD showcasing the booklet and the tracklist. Surprisingly, there’s quite a few score alternates and no demos aside from Why Me? Now we’ll just have to see if there are any screwups a la Hunchback.

What screw ups are you refering to exactly? A) idiotic selection of tracks omitting parts of the score B) even more idiotic distribution where ever after year since its release it's still virtually unavailable anywhere in the world?

I guess both are likely...
The first, primarily. Though since you mentioned it, the distribution was also an issue with it not being available outside of their website, though I honestly wasn’t aware of the international distribution issue

"Why Me?" isn't exactly a demo, though. It's a fully produced alternate/unused song, performed by Jonathan Freeman with orchestra. It was replaced in the final film by the reprise of "Prince Ali."

You forget to mention idiotic paper shitpack, Petr
