To each his own. I think the song is quite good, and I still haven't found much to appreciate in the score. (I've tried!) But that's how these things work, isn't it?
The Baftas, like the Oscars are just the sum of a set of opinions. The whole exercise is about selling product or virtue signalling by the great and the good of the industry.
One of my favourite scores of the year was 'Last Night In Soho' by Steven Price and it's nowhere to be seen, but it's OK. I can enjoy the film and the album without my opinion being confirmed by Bafta members. Yes, I enjoyed it when Skyfall won best score at Bafta in 2012 and when John Barry got his fellowship in 2005 but ultimately it's all a hollow exercise.
Regarding No Time To Die, how much of it was actually composed by Team Zimmer? Take away, the Barry composed cues + The James Bond Theme+ the instrumental use of the Elish song and there is quite a mixture of composers in there. However, I'm not aware of the rules regarding nomination in Best score category.
At best the Baftas can be considered as a bit of fun on Sunday prime time TV.
I mean, you can ask the same thing for pretty any modern composer. How much of Beltrami's score is composed by Beltrami? How much of Tyler's score is composed by Tyler? How much of McCreary's score is composed by McCreary? He had 7-8 additional composers and never put any of them on the cover. What about Elfman? Giacchino? They been using additional composers for quite a while now.
This - along with Die Another Day and Another Time to Die - are the worst title songs in Bond history. This one manages to be both bad AND depressing. Perhaps it's winning awards for *that* achievement!
I agree with Spymaster, and would add it's a very boring song! Just about any Barry Bond song is better and didn't get any awards, or at least very few awards.
I disagree. I really like the song and I think it is just as good as the score if not, better than the score.
3 Oscar nominations for NTTD - best song, best sound & best visual effects.
I personally hated the song but I’m not the right age to enjoy it.
As to sound and VFX, I don’t think the movie was groundbreaking in either category. That said, I’m just glad the Academy didn’t bow to pressure to recognise NTTD as Oscar-worthy in non technical categories just because EON have been pushing it as a “serious” movie.

I wouldn't be remotely surprised if he's telling the truth. However big or record-breaking the one in Spectre might have been, it looked rubbish (doing it all in one take & from a single angle didn't help) compared to many other practical movie explosions.
Whatever you think of Bay & Pearl Harbor, that attack sequence looked spectacular.
hahahah! Did you actually see his acting in the Blofeld scene?
Just because an actor isn't handsome, it doesn't mean he's a terrific actor.
I’ve never considered Craig to be a great actor. He can play moody and pissed off but…. Anything else, not so much.
Now I personally don’t need a Bond movie to be deep on the acting front - hey, Sir Rog’s movies are far and away my favourite Bonds. But if we are going to be served up with a “serious” 007 flick, as the Craig movies purport to be, then I’m sure there are actors out there who could have pulled that off - but for me, Daniel Craig wasn’t one of them and IMHO didn’t deserve an Oscar nod at all.
He’s good in the brilliant Layer Cake mind you… but everything else I’ve seen him in is just a variation on that.

I agree. Leaving aside some of the CGI daring do shit, the live action attack on Pearl Harbour is fantastic filmmaking,
