What to expect from Monday's suites: Hopefully the first suite to the mystery TV series I have mentioned a few times. And a suite from either two different pilots or from a TV series -- what ever is ready first.

This week's suite. "Cutter's Trail" Composer: John Parker https://youtube.com/watch?v=DCQZtilLTVo A failed pilot for a TV series which is not only a rather blatant knock off an episode of "Gunsmoke", it also uses a "Gunsmoke" composer. But the coincidences do not stop there: it's directed by the same guy and scored by the same composer of said episode ("Zavala"). And it had a bad guy who played on multiple episodes of "Gunsmoke". But with all that, the pilot itself (outside of the terrific score) is poor, long, and badly edited. The end credits were cut off early, so I had to make a fake composer credit. The background is from the end credits, but I had to try and replicate the font size and font type. I couldn't really do either fully and could not do the special border shade, but close enough. RETRO SUITES:
"P.J." Composer: Dave Grusin http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WgvOnt2oi4o Still sadly unreleased.

What to expect from Monday's suites: It's funky Monday.

This week's suites, for Funky Monday. OH yeah, and the mystery kids TV series is revealed. "CHiPs" Composer: Luchi De Jesus https://ufile.io/rs7gv0x5 https://youtube.com/watch?v=MHjnWADk_Yc (BLOCKED) Suite #1 (the only suite recorded) for his work that covers probably half the episodes he did when the new producers on the show hired him in the final season. EDIT: Even though the video constitutes "Fair Use", it's been blocked on copyright claims to episodes, so I have uploaded the video: https://ufile.io/rs7gv0x5 "The Red Hand Gang" Composers: Score Productions, Inc. https://youtube.com/watch?v=Oi3_RRrlzaE In the 1970's there was a short-lived kids series that featured a memorable wordless theme sung by a children's choir overseas with a library of original music created and tracked as needed. Most of the cues use parts or more of the theme as well as some lesser secondary themes. The music is noted by it's highly memorable cues with funky grooves and edgy material, as well as softer works. In an unusual move, while only the music production company Score Productions, Inc. I credited and no contributing composers, for what ever reason the orchestrator is credited -- Arthur B. Rubinstein. Like I did for "Most Wanted", I went back and founds all the tracked score of cues that could be salvaged, and replaced parts with cleaner or clean parts to make to optimal listening experiences. Some guess work and creative license was necessary as not all cues were heard in-full or had connective parts that could not be salvaged. If you are a fan and don't hear the cues you were wanting to hear, don't worry -- there will be three to five suites. I have kept select dialogue and sound effects to preserve the structure of the music.

At some point I will cover "The Wizard" with a thread. I've got a suite somewhere (maybe next week's RETRO SUITE).

What to expect from Monday's suites: Up in the air at the moment. Might be two suites, might be one, might not be any ready.

This week's suites. Followed by a note about next week's suites. "Cutter's Trail" https://youtube.com/watch?v=ZZwj5eDGLU8 Suite #2 -- the final suite -- covering Parker's score for the failed pilot. "The Red Hand Gang" https://youtube.com/watch?v=Jx7XEjoHR_U Suite #2. There will be two more suites NEXT WEEK: Next week I will shake things up and present a suite of score from a radio program -- "The Red Hand Gang" will be back the week after next. And one RETRO SUITE.

You're welcome. If everything goes well, I hope to have some more information about "The Red Hand Gang". I'll also -- with the final suite -- post some good news for fans of the scoring.

This week's suite. "Frontier Gentleman" Composer: Wilbur Hatch https://youtube.com/watch?v=qIZaon6dXDE After Goldsmith scored the first three episodes (on top of providing the radio series' memorable theme music), Hatch did all but two episodes of the remainder (one had no credited composer, and the other scored one episode -- a short suite for next week, so two suites next week). Like Jerry, Hatch's music is vibrant, colorful, and dynamic. What you hear in this suite covers ALL the episodes he did. Since I cut cues off at dialogue, I was able to fit it all into one suite. I left in two pieces of dialogue: one humorous line and the announcer saying the composer's name. RETRO SUITE:
"The Wizard" Composer: Arthur B. Rubinstein http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JRGOk9WSPx4 Made in 2014, this suite covers the pilot episode of the series.

This week's suites. "Frontiere Gentleman" Composer: Amerigo Moreno https://youtube.com/watch?v=XgUcftFwfz0 Suite covering the one episode he scored of the radio program. It's short because I only included the music-only parts, and no score with dialogue over it. "The Red Hand Gang" https://youtube.com/watch?v=dVCFysoCB7c Suite #3. Next week I'll take a week off and cover something else, but when the final suite lands, three of the big memorable cues will help close it out. Not many suites remaining. I want to say half a dozen are left.

What to expect from next week's suite: Just one suite. Patrick Williams and a the first of two suites to a failed pilot. I decided to push back the final suite for "The Red Hand Gang" another week.

Would readers like to continue just being surprised by suites or should I just go ahead and reveal the remaining titles? Also... There might be one to three bonus suites; I used to do a thread at MainTitles.net called "Mystery Score Clips" and it looks like I have one to three suites on a CD-R that I never put up. I have to go back and compare to know how many for certain.

Some time next week I begin the first of three or four western TV series I will cover during the summer time period. The first: "Stoney Burke". The names of composers in other series I will cover, are all very familiar names to those who have gone through my passed TV series threads, running the gambit of usual suspects from Morton Stevens to Richard Markowtiz.

Monday: the final suite for "The Red Hand Gang". And I also start "Stoney Burke" in a pre-existing thread.
