Not sure why we're suddenly on to INTERSTELLAR here -- but yeah, masterpiece film and score. I was just pointing out that Zimmer is not.that different than Goldsmith or Williams ..i.e. he can deliver a thematic, dramatic, emotionally satisfying score. Well yeah, if you count that one time he delivered a thematic, dramatic, emotionally satisfying score. Rises and Inter ain't it. What about SPIRIT? I think so!

Hey Frank V Yeah, that was the same for me. WAS... Yesterday my copy of 'Disaster Movie Collection' finally arrived!! Took a bit longer then the normal 6-7 days shipping. I ordered it the minute it was released on the LLL site! Hope yours got delivered also? No, but according to the tracking it arrived at PostNL on Wednesday and they sorted my package a half an hour ago, but it's not out for delivery yet. Hopefully it will be very soon. It's been a long wait. EDIT: They tried to deliver the package today, but I was at work, so I can pick it up tomorrow at a pickup location nearby.

I'd love to know the thinking behind those alternate POSEIDON ADVENTURE Main Title cues. They're just so crazy/different to the ones we know and love. All I can see, when I play them, is Susannah York, in IMAGES, running towards the CE3K Mothership, to play with the little aliens. Bizarre, brilliant stuff. The 70's Williams before the Spielberg/Lucas bomb. I haven't fully digested this set yet, but my word, it's fkn brilliant! I'm looking at the documentation again, and it remains a head scratcher. The two were recorded one right after the other, the alternate being indicated as "version B." One of the two takes of the alternate was marked as the preferred, but both were included on CD because we had them. On the dubbing logs the start and end points are exactly the same for both versions... start is "Just after closer shot of ship" and end is "Cut to Int. Bridge." All I can think is that the alternate would have required much more emphasis on the sound effects in order to work. Mike M.

That was excellent! It would have given the movie a whole other feel.

That version gives the opening am ore ominous feel, especially when the text comes on screen.
